Picking your new home
Follow these steps to find the home that's right for you!
  • Identify neighborhoods that feel good to you when you drive through.
  • Identify neighborhoods that meet your needs for location, lot sizes, schools, churches, shopping, entertainment, etc.
  • Knock on doors and talk to people in the neighborhoods you like.
  • Let me show you specific homes that we feel may meet your needs.
If you must sell before you can buy a new home, I can help you:
  • Stay in the market while you are trying to sell your house..
  • Keep informed of the market.
  • Keep an inventory of 2 to 3 houses that meet your needs. If one of them sells add another to your list. Be ready to buy as soon as you sell.
What should you do if you find your dream house before you sell your current home?
  • We will discuss the possibility of making an offer that is contingent upon the sale of your house. Remember, though, that you will have to make the offer attractive to the sellers in order for them to consider the risk of accepting your offer.
  • We will review what steps we can take to get your house sold immediately.

Just how long will it take to sell your home? It depends on several factors:

  • How your house shows; it is important to work together to present your house to potential buyers in the best possible way.
  • Number of available buyers in the marketplace.
  • Time of year
  • Competition, and other houses available in your price range.
  • As your REALTOR, I will keep abreast of the competition and advise you accordingly.
  If you plan to buy without selling your existing home...
  • As your REALTOR, I will prepare a market analysis and listing proposal for your present home. This should include a recommended sales price for your home, the commission you will pay for selling your home and a marketing plan for getting your home sold.
  • Receive a free relocation packet.
  • Fill out my Seller's Profile so I can help you determine your specific needs.
  • I can also be an excellent source of advice for preparing your home for sale. Remember, it's your goal and your mine to get the best price in the least possible time.
  • Receive information on improvements to your home's saleability.
